When I was thinking about getting my first horse I had to find a place to board it. I was nervous about the whole process until I found Dry Creek Ranch. I knew as soon as I talked to Larry that I was for sure going to adopt the horse of my dreams and stable him at Dry Creek Ranch. Larry and Cathy not only made the process easy for me, they did more than I could have ever anticipated. You would expect stables to feed and turn out horses but at Dry Creek Ranch it goes beyond that. They took care of my horse, Turner, like he was their own.
Turner was rescued from a life of neglect and took a lot of extra care. Larry and Cathy not only took care of him they never hesitated to call me if I needed to come down. Also, they already knew a great Ferrier and Vet, that was so close that Turner, myself, and Red (the ranch dog that became our friend) would just walk down (Turner cannot be rode) to our appointments. One time we got caught in the rain and Larry didn’t hesitate to go out, hook up the trailer, and rescue us.
Unfortunately, time moves on and with that comes change. Turner and I decided that we had to move out east. We were sad because we were not just leaving the ranch; we were leaving what had become our home and our family. It was easy to figure out who we would have moved us. Larry has many years of experience trucking cross county and transporting horses around. Turner had no problem traveling with Larry, and the only thing that was upsetting to Turner and me about the move was watching the back of Larry’s trailer slowly disappear.
We still miss Dry Creek Ranch very much, and especially our family that lives there. If we ever move back to Missouri, we already know we can come home.

Larry,
I'm sure you don't remember me, but in July of 2008, you transported a horse that I rescued- a little bay, mostly starved little Arab from some people in Houston, Mo. You drove him up to Columbia, Mo. I just wanted to tell you again how much I appreciated everything that you did, especially on such short notice. He now resides on 17 acres with my other horses, and is sassy and well on his way to being fat. He is a wonderful horse that I am blessed to have in my life, and it wouldn't have been possible without you.
Additionally I wanted to let you know that anytime I see or hear of someone looking for horse transport, I pass along your name. I know my friend Megan had you bring a horse from Iowa to Missouri for her, and I hope some of the other people have contacted you as well.

This was truly service 'above and beyond'. I have to tell you I was nervous since I had never shipped horses such a distance but that was my mistake! You did a wonderful job. Thanks for taking such good and kind care of our boys.5-10-10
